Guests generally praise the scenic location and views of Pleasant Hill Lake, along with comfortable, clean rooms and friendly staff. Numerous reviews, however, highlight significant issues with food quality and value, as well as unprofessional or dismissive management responses to serious concerns.

We enjoyed our four-night stay at Mohican State Park Lodge. Every year in the month of February a large part of our family getaway together for sort of a mini reunion and it was exactly the getaway we needed. Upon arrival, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Our room was tidy and well cared for, and our bed was comfortable as well. The pool area was especially nice—very clean and well maintained. They did not have a hot tub, which was a little disappointing, but didn't hinder our enjoyment. We also loved the main lodge space, which offers several cozy seating areas perfect for relaxing, reading, or simply enjoying quiet conversation. After returning home, I realized I had accidentally left my magnifying mirror (if you’re middle aged you can relate) attached to the bathroom mirror in our room. Although there was a bit of confusion at first when it wasn’t immediately located, the staff took the time to check again—and thankfully, it was found. They were incredibly gracious and even shipped it back to me, which I truly appreciated. Overall, we had a peaceful, refreshing stay filled with quality family time. We’re so grateful for the hospitality, especially from Kirsta, I believe her name was, and we look forward to visiting again.

We ate at the Lodge, 7 total for Valentine's Day. Atmosphere was amazing, just a beautiful lodge and location. Server was outstanding, food delicious. Was very busy due to the holiday. We definitely will go back when it's daylight to be able to look out over the lake while having dinner.

My family had a wonderful stay at the Mohican Lodge. The rooms were lovely and clean. The food was delicious. Our compliments to the chef and restaurant staff. I wish I could give all the staff members more than five stars. They were friendly and on top of everything. The stay felt more like being at a cozy inn. We’re looking forward to going back.

The rooms were wonderful and comfortable. The food was expensive but it was delicious. There is not much around there so the restaurant was really your only choice for a meal. The pool was a decent size and also had a small sauna. No hot tub. There is also a small bar on location.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We stayed a weekend here and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. We were kind to the staff and tried to be understanding but they NEVER contacted me after being told for weeks that’s someone would call us back. First: they didn’t have the room we paid for because they were short staffed. We were understanding and took the downgraded room. Second: after our first night there we noticed after we slept in the sheets that there was blood and urine on the comforter. (We were too exhausted the night before to notice) Third: when I went to shower on the second day I used the shampoo provided in the pump and what came out of the pump could only be described as human body waste. I was obviously incredibly shocked and once I cleaned up I called the front desk, the person I spoke to was very nice and seemed horrified and said they would send a manager to our room. When the manager got to our room, we showed her the blood stained and urine stained comforter and the shampoo bottle she said “what do you want me to do about it” In a dismissive tone. The manager took the shampoo bottle and the dirty comforter and did not say anything else. When we checked out on the third day, I inquired about someone contacting me and the front desk said the main manager has the shampoo bottle on his desk and will call us about the incident. After I didn’t hear anything. I tried to call Mohican back and asked to speak with a manager mind you, I’m being kind through this whole interaction still, and they kept transferring me to the restaurant or hanging up on me. So I decided to call the reservation line and I explained what happened and the lady said someone named Seth would call me back because it was unacceptable what happened to us. Here we are three weeks later and nobody will still call me back. Do not stay here. It was a disaster from start to finish and they have no response to help you or even try to when there are issues. * I just received a response on this post to Contact someone named Rod Miller as you can see on the bottom of this response. I tried to call Mohican Lodge back and I was done was met with two incredibly rude women. Who refused to give me their names When I asked. This time telling me that person does not exist, and they don’t know what I am talking about. I did ask to speak to the general manager, and I was sent to a dead voicemail. These people have been truly awful to deal with. Rod if you are a real person, could you please give me a way to contact you where I am not hung up on or told that you don’t exist thank you

Rooms are good, not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Staff at front desk were professional as well as personable, efficient and helpful. Dining room staff, though busy, we're efficient and attentive. We attended the New Year's Eve gala; it was well planned, good food, good entertainment. Very nice holiday decorations.

I brought two of my best friends up here for a 3-day weekend as their Christmas gift and the room was lovely. Great view. Food was terrible, not just one meal but all meals. The bartenders are good but the something was going on the weekend after Thanksgiving and the food was really bad. We were very disappointed so bad that we left early on Sunday morning to eat elsewhere. I have breakfast They've never called me back. They've never written me back or emailed me. I can't believe they don't care more about our opinion. I won't come back Unless I hear from them

I come to the land of this most beautifull place as often as I can. Reminds me of when I visited the woods of Oregon. I always get hyped up before coming here, I just can't control myself. Out of all the 45 years of coming here, not once did I meet with an unruly person. Thank you, to all staff members for their diligent way of making beauty mean more than the word itself. Love you all!!!

I used to love Mohican when I was younger, my parents would take me and my brother all the time. Sadly I feel now things have taken a turn and not for the better. When I had stopped for a night visit and walked in, it looked exactly like it was when I came when I was little. The lobby needs updating along with the dining room, everything seemed like it just hasn’t been touched and that makes me sad. The room was ok and the outdoor pool was nice. I honestly wouldn’t go back until they do a remodel, I love nostalgia but this didn’t bring that it brought old neglected and needs helps

Had not been for awhile so I forgot how much fun this place is. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the grandson loved the pool. A great place to get away for a few days. Make sure to get a pizza from the bar, it is really good. We sat outside to eat and watched the sun go down over the lake. Can't wait to go back.
