I must say that my experience here has been great. I came here with a large group for a conference. They wher very patient and kind to accommodate all of us and others that were coming in. The breakfast was an average breakfast but they kept it well stocked as we kept coming in
I read a few bad reviews but decided to try it out. We checked in Wednesday (Christmas Eve) and checked out Saturday. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. In some of the bad reviews I read they talked about roaches or signs of bed bugs but that was not the case. We didn't see any bugs at all or any signs of bed bugs. Trust me I always check really good when it's a hotel I've never been to. We stayed in a pet friendly room because we have a small dog and it was perfect for us. I read a review about one of the pet friendly rooms smelling like cat urine but again this wasn't the case with our room. It smelled fine. They do have a indoor pool but we didn't go swimming. I did walk in and check the temperature of pool. It wasn't cold but wasn't warm either. If I had a swimsuit with me I would have probably went in and I'm sure it would've been ok. The hotel was really quiet except for Friday night. There was a woman cussing and fussing at someone in the hallway around 10 pm for about 5 minutes. Other than that it was quiet. Now the whole time we stayed I bet there wasn't more then 15 cars in the parking lot so it wasn't packed. The breakfast was actually pretty good compared to some of the other Best Westerns I've stayed at. The coffee was good. The apple juice and orange juice wasn't watered down like I've experienced at other Best Westerns. The eggs, bacon, sausage,and potatoes were actually cooked and not microwaved. The waffles are excellent. Overall we had a good stay and we do plan on staying here again whenever we are in Columbus.
Zabi at the front has helped me a lot in my stay. Very kind person and very helpful and I’m not exaggerating this, i really mean it. I hope that everyone who comes to this hotel meets him and to enjoy his service at the front desk. I would recommend if you town or coming to visit Columbus to come to best western port Columbus one of the best hotels and good customers service.
This is the best hotel. The staff gets a five start rate from the time you check in through checkout . It's super clean ..spotless, good location near the airport This is my second stay for airport day arrival or departure to stay Close to restaurants or gas station . They have shuttle service for flights from 7a.m. on. Beds are so comfortable.
In the last month alone, three visits have already brought be back to Columbus and finding a hotel always is such a tricky gamble. When many reviews seem to be comprised of unhappy experiences, it makes the decision only harder if one’s on a budget or an extended stay where money adds up quickly especially during college football price surges. Anyhow, took my chance the first time about a month ago and was not disappointed one bit. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Being a single night stay, it was a quick turnaround however on the second trip, stayed about 5 days and again, room was clean and comfortable. I believe on the 3rd day the room was cleaned and trash removed. The elevator works fine and the staff is attentive and quite helpful. From the night manager to the employees during daytime, they’re genuinely trying their best. If you’re looking for a decent room to sleep and rest, for this location in Columbus, Best Western is an option worth checking out!
Amazing customer service from Lucky! She was so helpful and kind. Location is great with plenty of gas stations and fast food nearby. After staying at a not-so-great hotel down the street, we were so lucky to have Lucky get us in our rooms as soon as possible. The gentleman at night, Zabi, was incredibly helpful for last minute, before bed needs and requests. He really goes above and beyond! We really enjoy the help of Dimple, as well. She has been a pleasure to work with all week. The manager is amazing, works all day and night and was so kind when I extended our stay another night. I'm so grateful for real hospitality. Super clean hotel, nice parking lot and friendly staff with great accommodations.
I had a wonderful stay at this Best Western! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They were very accommodating and made sure everything went smoothly during my visit. A special thank you to Lucky, who was extremely helpful during check-in and made the process quick and pleasant. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and I really appreciated it. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay!
Good experience for a 1 night stay. Checked in 2 hrs early. In and out no issues. Whirlpool tub in the room was great. Few broken jets but eh. Pool area was nice and clean. By the airport so plane noise is to be expected. Basic hotel breakfast don't expect much lol
Our club volleyball team recently stayed at the Best Western Port Columbus, and it was an utterly dreadful experience. The hotel was absolutely disgusting! The general cleanliness of the hotel is abysmal, with cigarette stains and bathroom doors falling off their hinges. The rooms were cramped and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. On both Saturday and Sunday morning, there was not enough breakfast available, leaving many of our guests without a meal. The cleanliness of the rooms was appalling; one of our rooms had a clogged toilet upon check-in, which was extremely unpleasant. We also found bugs in the showers, which is simply unacceptable. The back door of the hotel was not locked, posing serious safety concerns. Seven cars, including five from our team, were broken into overnight. Car alarms were heard all night, but the front desk did not notify the police. When we tried to address the break-ins with management, they offered no solutions, showing a complete lack of accountability and customer service. They were indifferent, claiming "several cars were broken into in the area" and "the police are investigating." We also experienced multiple instances of room keys not working on both Friday and Saturday nights. In response, we were given "master" keys to the hotel to serve as our room keys, which is highly concerning. Additionally, we requested towels on several occasions, only to be told that we needed to bring down our dirty towels so they could be laundered and then brought back to us. Some guests were even told there were no towels available at all. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. Overall, our stay at the Best Western Port Columbus was an absolute nightmare, and we do not recommend this hotel to anyone. STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!
Terrible experience, dirty room, over flowing garbage cans in the breakfast area, cold coffee, dry muffins, juice dispenser without juice. No clean towels or wash clothes in the entire hotel was what I was told. The hallways smelled of weed. Worst hotel stay in many years. There was a very polite and friendly front desk person when I got there. She was the only positive thing during this first and last stay at Best Western.
