I swear the only complaint I have is the beds are hard to sleep on but that's just my preference. The grounds are beautiful and well patrolled. The room was very clean and nice looking. Feels like it's own little town. The pub was ok nothing special food wise. I paid 181 plus 50 deposit. Which you get the deposit back.

I will definitely book this hotel every time I am in Columbus, OH. Everything about it is incredible. The rooms were clean and spacious. The outdoor and indoor pool were very nice after a long day in the sun. The staff was friendly and accomidating. My favorite thing has to be the beautiful grounds . 5 stars all the way around.

I absolutely love this hotel it gives out of the country resort vibes it’s family friendly but also super peaceful. The front desk staff are super nice and helpful, I want to thank the maintenance tech Scott for going out of his way for helping me and my family. There is no room service but the hotel has plenty of food options in the area and also on the hotel grounds.

On the plus side, our room was large, had a great TV and a nice clean bathroom. It is convenient to the highway. The room had another room adjoining and we could clearly hear people talking at night.If I went back I would ask for a non-adjoining room. When I booked the reservation from the road, the person said there was a restaurant. Dismayed upon arrival at 7 pm to hear "there is no food available on site". There was however a free breakfast buffet which had fresh hot offerings (pancakes eggs, sausages) and very good hot coffee. Also frsh fruit, cereals and the requisite toaster that takes sooo long. We arrived and it was busy so ended up in overflow parking which had complicated signage and we had to drag our bags quite far to get to the desk. The signage was also not clear to the breakfast buffet etc. They need to fix this. This place is huge. I can tell it was glorious in its day.

The Ohioan was the most perfect venue for our Wedding! From the moment we decided, they were so helpful with all our questions and requests. Their Sales person Lindsey was wonderful with helping me with my contract. Their coordinator Ben was outstanding! He was there every step of the way and was so detail oriented! All their staff were wonderful! We had our wedding in Edgewater and everything went off without a hitch. The food and drinks were delicious. The hotel rooms were recently redone and the beds were comfy, it truly was an all inclusive venue which made planning easy!

This is such a wonderful hotel! It feels like a little village, far away from the city (even though you’re right off of a busy street). It’s right next to Highbank Metropark, any kind of restaurant you can imagine, and the recent renovation makes the whole space gorgeous, modern, and elegant. The complimentary continental breakfast is also delicious and the staff is friendly.

Our Bible study had a phenomenal weekend conference at The Ohioan. The buildings were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Our rooms were clean and accommodating. The staff were friendly and flexible. But the best part was the very very well stocked hotel breakfast. Highly recommend The Ohioan for your next stay or group conference!

After discovering the Ohioan Hotel & Event Center while searching for a place to host a weekend retreat with friends, we decided to book several rooms for the weekend. It’s hard to believe this location is only 10 minutes outside of Columbus and just minutes from the busy Polaris area. The moment we arrived, the hurriedness of the city vanished while we still remained conveniently close to every activity and restaurant you could ask for. The property truly feels like a hidden oasis. Our weekend here was fantastic. The property has endless areas to hang out, play cards and board games, and laugh together. The staff were incredible, and everyone agreed the breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. The parlor rooms were comfortable and spacious. Our only regret was not visiting in the warmer months, when we could have taken full advantage of the beautiful courtyards and fireplaces. 10/10 experience.

This year, they did a massive remodel of the interior of this hotel. Previously, when we stayed here in 2024, it was so quaint, had a little library and a grand staircase in the entry way, lots of light, and the rooms were all light and airy as well. We loved it. We came back this year, not knowing about the remodel. It is awful. They gutted the whole nice lobby area (in fact when we went there everything in the lobby was under construction and the front desk was a little hole in the wall). Construction vehicles everywhere too. The rooms now - are like BLACK inside. Super modern. Completely different than the esthetic of the outside of the hotel. The inside is just like every single other hotel out there. Hate it. ALSO - the off gassing in the hallways and inside the rooms (windows don't open) was SO bad we call felt sick in the morning. Definitely will not be back. Such a disappointment. PS - barely any staff around and the front desk staff didn't ever even crack a smile

Ellen and the team at the Ohioan Hotel and Event Center were fantastic to work with! Despite some ongoing construction, they went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful and flawless. The venue itself was perfect for our wedding: elegant, comfortable, and memorable. We especially loved ending the night at the on-site pub with our guests. Ellen’s flexibility and care made all the difference, and we’re so thankful for her efforts!
