Guests consistently praise the spacious, clean rooms and exceptional value due to the inclusion of free hot breakfast and evening snacks/drinks. However, the hotel’s age means the facilities could benefit from refreshment, and it can become quite chaotic during peak times due to sports teams and tournaments.
First time staying at a Drury & Cecil was wonderful. Room was very nice & spacious. Toilet sat low & could use upgraded for those with knee problems. Breakfast was great. Swimming pool nice & warm. Great hot tub. 5:30 kickback had good food and the free 3 drinks were a plus but that is all you are allowed. All staff members very friendly. Highly recommend
This is an older Drury, but decent. It could use a little sprucing up, but all in all it's clean. The staff is very nice and friendly. The buffet area is not the greatest layout, it's a bit chaotic when they are serving food cause all the lines converge and it becomes overwhelming. The food served was good. The pool area is nice and clean. The rooms are nice as well.
My partner and I came here for a relaxing weekend away from home. Which we often do at local hotels. I have to be honest, the staff was the absolute sweetest I’ve ever encountered. Our first night it was very busy with sports teams and yet every staff member was smiling, kind, the manager on duty was amazing- stepping in everywhere she was needed. She was checking in guests, bartending, cleaning the food area, checking food quality and smiling while doing it all. The hotel was clean, food was decent and pool area was well maintained. I hope this weekends staff between management and food service gets a bit of extra recognition because they were honestly so great.
Ebony was fantastic at check in! We brought the kids and came for the pool and hot tub. The kids LOVED the pool and hot tub!!!! It was so much fun for them to be swimming outside while it was snowing! Will definitely be back!!! A rare find for a good pool for the kids with a working hot tub!!!
Great hotel...a little bit older but updated in spots. The customer service is amazing! Lynne was the nicest person checking us in and Cecil was so friendly checking us out! When we needed extra pillows for the pull out couch they went above and beyond to get us some very prompt. The room and bathroom was clean. The ONLY complaint is get an upper floor room. It is not the hotel's fault but people start coming out the back door at 6am screaming and yelling and slamming the door. We were close to the pool and fitness center but it was closed for maintenance THANK GOODNESS! Because the back door slamming and yelling was enough. Great hotel and if we are ever back in that area we will stay there again just on an upper floor!
We had a great experience here for my kid's bday weekend. We arrived early Saturday, and were not only told we could check in early, but that we got a free room upgrade! Our room was huge, clean, and cozy. We had room 500 and it was mostly nice and quiet. Super comfortable king bed in one room and pull out couch in the other. There were a bunch of kids there for a hockey tournament and cheer competition, so the main floor and pool areas were chaotic at times, but we couldn't hear all the noise from our room. Most of them were gone by Sunday, so we were able to enjoy the pool and dining areas way more that evening. The breakfasts are good and dinners are decent...can't complain about two free meals a day! The pool and hot tub were kind of gross, but I'm assuming that's just because of the obnoxious amount of kids that were there at the beginning of our stay. Everyone working here is nice, it's clean/comfortable, and it's close to all the fun things to do in and around Columbus. We'll definitely stay here again! Also, I read other reviews about car break-ins and was kind of worried at first. I was able to park in front of the hotel and could clearly see my car from our room. The parking lot is well-lit, and the 3 days were were here, there was a security patrol car across the street at the Hyatt, which directly faces towards this hotel. It put my mind at ease.
Free breakfast was not very good. The evening food was terrible. The room was fine. The housekeeper just pulled the sheets up and replaced the dirty towels. The beds were not made, the trash was not emptied and nothing was cleaned. The pool and hot tub were completely overrun with kids and their parents drinking beer. If you give away 3 drinks per adult with the evening snacks that is what you get.
This meets all expectations I come to expect from a Drury location. The staff was excellent, even when I had an issue with my reservation that was 100% my fault, Kaden was able to resolve the situation quickly in a professional manner. The room was super clean, the only thing I would change is maybe the shower heads, but that’s a personal preference.
Great location and rooms are not only clean, but fairly updated. I stayed in the King Suite with 2 big screens. The bathroom are all real stone as well. Water pressure and temperature were fantastic I may add. Managerial service, specifically Cecil is a true class act. Very professional and exceptionally helpful. The “kickback” hour (free happy hour vibe) is a great deal and breakfast is extraordinary and fresh.
We stayed overnight while in town visiting family. We were impressed with how clean the entire hotel was including the room and pool. We have 3 kids and were pleasantly surprised at the kid friendly dinner and breakfast buffets. The bonus wind down drinks were also much appreciated! Lynne was fantastic from check in to bar tending. Another very nice gentleman at the front desk helped us get a pack and play when we realized we’d forgotten ours. A wonderful experience and we will stay here again when we visit.
