Well we got here around 8:30 pm. The woman behind the desk was wearing a Bluey hoodie—first sign. She was weird, rude, and made things uncomfortable. In any event, she told us the free coffee and sandwich went until 10:30 in the morning. My girlfriend and I walked up there at 10:10 to get ours. The woman behind the desk (not Bluey) told us “that ended at 10.” I told her we were told 10:30 and recalled the conversation to the word, which I recited back. She just stared at us. Not only did they tell us the wrong time, but they couldn’t give them to us regardless? Is that how customer service works out here in Columbus? Or is it just the Motor Inn? Anyways, rooms are musty smelling. As many others have said. The floor is pitch black. Disgusting. No bed bugs thankfully, that we saw. It was 100 degrees in here. Had to leave the door open for 10 mins for it to even out, and keep the air on (it’s 2 degrees outside). TVs suck. The bathroom door does not close—very inconvenient and annoying. Beds are meh. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Google lists it as a 2-star hotel but I would say it easily on par with any 3-star place I have stayed. The rooms were clean, staff friendly/helpful, the location was nice and the coffee/sandwiches were better than something from the surrounding chains. If I find myself back in the area I will stay here again. It was a better experience (for half of the price) on all levels than had I stayed with one of the surrounding hotel chains.

Staying here while getting testing and care at OSU Medical Center. This hotel is perfect. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free coffee and breakfast from the Crimson Cup. Fridge, microwave, large flat-screen tv, Keurig in room. And completely affordable! Great place to stay!

I stayed here during the recent snow storm, and it was incredible, I loved how cozy the hotel room was. And the internet! Amazing speeds, I was able to stream for the whole night playing Minecraft and had zero issues with buffering or latency. The beds were incredibly soft and so were the pillows (im a hard pillow sleeper tho, so I had to stack my pillows to create the firmness I wanted) the showers water pressure... guys it was so much better than I expected, also if you forgot any shampoo and such, they have lovely tangerine options to really help make you feel clean. Its nice to open your door or window too, and just see the snow. It was so lovely.

Good location if you don’t mind the bed bugs! General Manager was at least understanding and told us we could request a refund through hotel.com, as we booked through a third party. TV isn’t very “smart” tho and only has cable btw, so if you wanted to stream anything, you cannot. 12/7/25 - Room 128

We had a great stay overall! This is a charming, budget-friendly spot with everything you need if you’re not planning to spend a ton of time in your room. The space has been updated, the location is super convenient for getting into downtown Columbus, and the breakfast is a pleasant surprise — especially the coffee, which was genuinely excellent. We also appreciated the complimentary sandwich and coffee voucher. However, cleanliness was a concern. The floors were extremely dirty — after walking across the room once, the bottoms of our feet were black, and the shower mat picked up a LOT of dirt as well after being on the floor just once. The linens were also on the thin, scratchy side. I’d recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops or slippers for the room and maybe an extra blanket for comfort. With just a little more attention to cleaning and comfort, this would be a fantastic stay.

We stay here every football home game and always enjoy our experience. The rooms and showers are always clean and we enjoy our experience. I only wish the room floors were cleaned after each visit as every visit the room floors are always very dirty. Otherwise, great stay!!!

We paid $140 for a one night stay here. Upon reading posts from 3-4 weeks ago about bed bugs we checked the room thoroughly. No sign of them in our room! Cleanliness was okay, floors were definitely not swept the best. Dead bugs like flys and moths on the floor behind our bed. We also found someone's aleve there as well. But overall the service for check in was very friendly and understanding. The coffee shop is the lobby so I thought that was neat anyways.

Best Kept Secret in the area. My son will be a freshman at OSU this fall. Have to come for new student activities. Gave this a shot for the price and location. Definetly 5 stars on everything! Rooms were remodeled. Cute retro rooms with touch lamps. TV's were big with alot of channels. 6 minutes to OSU Student Union. Plenty of electronic outlets. I like the easy access outdoor entrances. Plenty of restaurants and stores in the area. I'll stay here EVERY TIME I COME DOWN!!

Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I believe it is important to bring these issues to attention. Upon arrival, we encountered a dirty room, and the fridge was not functioning. We were switched to another room, which was also not clean. I was disappointed to find a soiled toilet seat that I had to clean myself with wipes I had in my luggage. After a long day of travel, we simply wanted to rest, but instead, we were met with these unpleasant conditions. During our stay, we struggled to get a good night's sleep due to a creaky bed, which made it difficult to rest after a long day at our convention. Additionally, we noticed that our room did not receive housekeeping services during our stay, which was disappointing. When I brought these issues to the attention of your staff, I was met with rudeness rather than understanding. I also encountered unhelpfulness at the coffee shop, where I was refused oat milk despite its availability. I had hoped for a more accommodating response, especially given the circumstances. While I understand that no establishment is perfect, the lack of cleanliness and customer service left a negative impression. I would appreciate a gesture of goodwill. I explained this to the manager after being met with total directed, eye rolls, and being told the manager will do nothing. The manager said they could only do a full refund or none and that my complaint didn’t warrant that. The floor where you place your feet down even and bare feet on the bathroom was even filthy. The pics don’t even show how dirty it was. The pubes in the toilette and shower are not posted.
