front desk staff was helpful and breakfast/drinks at crimson cup were good and convenient. room had what we needed and was clean except the floors. only spent a couple hours a day in the room but our socks were black on the bottom everytime we kept them on in there. all 4 days of our stay room service did not come once, even after asking 3 times. we had to get our own soap and towels and garbage piled up in our room and in the outside garbages (presumably bc other guests had to throw out their own garbage there too). there was also a dead bug behind one of the beds

Check in was prompt. Room was very clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, and a big tv all made our stay nice. Shower was good as well. We stayed for a concert at Ohio Stadium and the walk wasn’t bad at all. Location of the motor inn was perfect. We will stay again when in the area.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! An unexpected find. I was booked there by a conference several years ago and was a little surprised when I arrived. A drive-through coffee shop/lobby? A little independent motel next to Springhill Suites and other big names? But it was wonderful. Spacious, clean rooms, free wi-fi, good location, the friendliest bunch of kids working there, and unbeatable price, about 1/3 what other area hotels charge. The breakfast sandwich and coffee are also nice. I have meetings in Columbus every year and this is my place! The only thing that would make it better is if they had gluten free breakfast bread. (And if you want a good restaurant that's convenient and excellent food and staff, about a block away is Cap City Diner (a restaurant - not a conventional 'diner'.)

Well we got here around 8:30 pm. The woman behind the desk was wearing a Bluey hoodie—first sign. She was weird, rude, and made things uncomfortable. In any event, she told us the free coffee and sandwich went until 10:30 in the morning. My girlfriend and I walked up there at 10:10 to get ours. The woman behind the desk (not Bluey) told us “that ended at 10.” I told her we were told 10:30 and recalled the conversation to the word, which I recited back. She just stared at us. Not only did they tell us the wrong time, but they couldn’t give them to us regardless? Is that how customer service works out here in Columbus? Or is it just the Motor Inn? Anyways, rooms are musty smelling. As many others have said. The floor is pitch black. Disgusting. No bed bugs thankfully, that we saw. It was 100 degrees in here. Had to leave the door open for 10 mins for it to even out, and keep the air on (it’s 2 degrees outside). TVs suck. The bathroom door does not close—very inconvenient and annoying. Beds are meh. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Google lists it as a 2-star hotel but I would say it easily on par with any 3-star place I have stayed. The rooms were clean, staff friendly/helpful, the location was nice and the coffee/sandwiches were better than something from the surrounding chains. If I find myself back in the area I will stay here again. It was a better experience (for half of the price) on all levels than had I stayed with one of the surrounding hotel chains.

Staying here while getting testing and care at OSU Medical Center. This hotel is perfect. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free coffee and breakfast from the Crimson Cup. Fridge, microwave, large flat-screen tv, Keurig in room. And completely affordable! Great place to stay!

I stayed here during the recent snow storm, and it was incredible, I loved how cozy the hotel room was. And the internet! Amazing speeds, I was able to stream for the whole night playing Minecraft and had zero issues with buffering or latency. The beds were incredibly soft and so were the pillows (im a hard pillow sleeper tho, so I had to stack my pillows to create the firmness I wanted) the showers water pressure... guys it was so much better than I expected, also if you forgot any shampoo and such, they have lovely tangerine options to really help make you feel clean. Its nice to open your door or window too, and just see the snow. It was so lovely.

Good location if you don’t mind the bed bugs! General Manager was at least understanding and told us we could request a refund through hotel.com, as we booked through a third party. TV isn’t very “smart” tho and only has cable btw, so if you wanted to stream anything, you cannot. 12/7/25 - Room 128

We had a great stay overall! This is a charming, budget-friendly spot with everything you need if you’re not planning to spend a ton of time in your room. The space has been updated, the location is super convenient for getting into downtown Columbus, and the breakfast is a pleasant surprise — especially the coffee, which was genuinely excellent. We also appreciated the complimentary sandwich and coffee voucher. However, cleanliness was a concern. The floors were extremely dirty — after walking across the room once, the bottoms of our feet were black, and the shower mat picked up a LOT of dirt as well after being on the floor just once. The linens were also on the thin, scratchy side. I’d recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops or slippers for the room and maybe an extra blanket for comfort. With just a little more attention to cleaning and comfort, this would be a fantastic stay.

We stay here every football home game and always enjoy our experience. The rooms and showers are always clean and we enjoy our experience. I only wish the room floors were cleaned after each visit as every visit the room floors are always very dirty. Otherwise, great stay!!!
