The Sheraton Suites Columbus offers spacious suites and a convenient location, but recent reviews highlight inconsistent service, cleanliness issues, and operational problems. While some guests praise the staff and rooms, others report problems with pool maintenance, cleanliness, and a negative experience with a parking situation. Overall, the hotel has mixed reviews with significant variability in the guest experience.
We chose this hotel based on the reviews and photos, depicting a lovely indoor and outdoor pool and clean, efficient suite rooms. On arrival, the parking lot was being resealed and this process was ongoing throughout our 3 day stay. The outdoor pool was not open and the process to prep it had not even begun. The indoor pool was covered in a film of bubbles and the smell of chlorine was so strong it was overwhelming. The concerns were brought to management with a promise of followup which never happened. Our rooms had an overwhelming odor of musty smoke. The filters had not been changed out in a over a year. Requests for missing towels were never met. Desk staff were short with guests. We ended up paying to use a community pool to swim, buying air fresheners to tolerate sleeping in our rooms, and frequently checking on the vehicles parked in the lot. Nightly there were tailgate parties with individuals drinking and smoking in the lots. After emails to the General Manager with only one reply and no response from Corporate customer service, I chose this means to warn others.
We had a wonderful stay at Sheraton Suites Worthington Ohio. We initially tried to check in early around noon, but our room was not ready yet. However, from the moment we came back for check-in later in the afternoon around 4 PM, the staff was incredibly professional, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel system happened to be down during check-in, but the front desk handled the situation smoothly by giving us a master key card immediately and later replacing it with two properly activated keys once the system was restored. A special thank you to Kaitlyn at the front desk. She truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Her kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. We also had an issue with the AC in our room, and the hotel responded very quickly by sending maintenance staff right away. The problem was fixed promptly, which we really appreciated. Overall, the customer service here was outstanding, and the staff genuinely cared about making our stay pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
We stay here every year for Sonic Temple. We will never stay anywhere else and we previously stayed downtown. We travel with our cat and they are always so gracious with him. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and the bed are so comfortable. I messed up my reservation this year and the young woman in the evening tried so hard to get us in but they were full. The next day Gabby got us in early & I'm so grateful to her. Their breakfast is just what we need daily before every festival day too! Honestly, best place to stay! Their accounts manger is wonderful too.
My expectations were definitely not met with this Sheraton location. After years of staying at many Sheratons through Michigan, Ohio, Georgia and Florida, this location was not what I'm used to. Upon arrival, the front desk attendants were more concerned about their personal issues than helping me check in. I waited in silence for a couple minutes while they did whatever they were doing and didn't acknowledge my presence. The room lacked in many areas. King size bed with standard pillows, requested additional pillows, still standard. None of the pillows matched in thickness or softness and one was totally as hard as a rock. Splatters of unknown substance on the walls in the bedroom. Fridge in the room was missing it's front two feet, causing it to lean so far forward that you couldn't open the door without hitting the cabinet or the floor. Lighting control was all over the place. Shower was nice but the shower head was a water saver dinky shower head. AC fan was extremely loud but lacked in actually cooling the room - seemed like airflow was blocked and needed a new filter. Major amount of accumulated dust on the AC vents. Room was remodeled, but floor had obvious areas where screws/nails were about to pop through. Curtain for main window was ripped and missing a pull bar for closing. On top of all this, breakfast wasn't included, but $15 a person for breakfast.
I recently stayed at the Sheraton while visiting my fiancé from out of state. I booked the room hoping we could enjoy some quiet, peaceful time together, and overall parts of our stay were really nice. The king-size bed was definitely the highlight of our trip. It was honestly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, and we both looked forward to getting back to it each night. The hospitality during breakfast was also great, especially Cyrus at the breakfast bar. He truly stole the show. He was the most welcoming, outgoing, and personable staff member we interacted with during our stay, and he made our mornings much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, there were a few downsides that affected our experience. There were noticeable stains in the carpet and on the bathroom door, which took away from the overall cleanliness of the room. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. One morning the bed was simply spread up but the sheets were not changed. The following day a housekeeper entered our room to remove dirty plates and garbage but left everything else untouched. When I later saw the housekeeper in the hallway, I asked if our room was going to be cleaned and she told me no. That was confusing and uncomfortable because she had already entered our room while we had personal belongings inside. I ended up going down to the front desk to explain the situation. After we left the hotel and returned later, the room had finally been refreshed. Overall, the stay had some positive moments, but it wasn’t quite as spectacular as I expected it to be.
It hard times we live in and you would think humanity would be compassionate. I booked a room for $400 and cancelled in less than 24hours through booking.com . When booking I accidentally paid online instead of to pay at the hotel . I cancelled because I had an emergency health wise when I messaged the company gave them explanation I got no reply . Like how on can u render such services . No reply nothin and book.com can do nothing but now they charged me $400 for a room I never stayed at not even a partial refund. This is very sad
Beginning with the check in, Keena was helpful sharing all of the amenities the hotel offered. She was quick , pleasant and professional. The guest rooms were a complete surprise. Very spacious with a separate bedroom and seating area, nice sized refrigerator and microwave. Two large flatscreens. The toiletries are wonderful. I had breakfast and dinner on Wednesday. The breakfast attendant was always helpful and accessible. Jennifer the bartender was friendly and attentive. This brand really surprised me and when I travel again, I will check it out.
My first experience at this Sheraton! I came with family for a birthday celebration! My niece sweet 16, we got a 2 room with a master bed ? & the other room 2 ? a couch that pulls out into a bed! It has a fridge, safe coffee, complimentary water ? & For purchase. They provide Starbucks coffee you can make! It was a safe in master bedroom! It has a walk in shower! This is a nice Sheraton! It has a ? ?????????! They have meeting room, they have a bar & a restaurant! The front desk has snacks with refreshing water! It is located in the north part of Columbus! Check them out!?????????????
Could've easily been a 5 star experience but I had to return the food from the restaurant twice. One uncooked, and other burned. This was the ONLY negative experience that I had. Kaitlyn at the front desk was superb in how she dealt with this issue. Sheraton, if you're paying attention, she's a keeper. Angie, the manager was also exceptional. ROOM: Awesome, clean and comfortable SHOWER: OMG pressure!! This is more important that you realize! BED: Very comfortable. LOBBY: Felt like a higher class of hotel. HALLWAYS: Clean and kept Overall, this is a great place and I intend to stay here again in March. Train your chef Sheraton! :-)
When we first walked in the doors it was sooo beautiful! They did a good job making it stand out and look beautiful! The front desk receptionist in the pm was so kind she had such good energy was very friendly kind outgoing and loving. She made myself and my family feel so special right away. I do not catch her name but hopefully you are greeted by her! There is not a free breakfast you do have to pay extra but the breakfast and coffee are very nice and fulfilling. We got to the rooms very nice and clean! I give it a 7 or 8/10 for cleanliness. The bed was soooo comfortable and the pillows were to . We had nice smelling clean towels and all of the accommodations we needed in our room :). The room was very quiet you couldn’t hear anyone else from other rooms or the hallway which was nice for us because we have a crazy toddler lol. We got a bay window with a view. But in this area alone there’s not much of a view or anything to look at. We were on the 5th floor. So don’t recommend paying extra for that. I read reviews before getting the hotel they were not my experience at all thankfully. The only thing I truly have negative to say about this hotel is we got it only because it has a pool and we wanted our kids to get some energy out and play in the pool. The pool is heated but there area it is in is not . We went down in the evening time my 8 year old and 1 year old expecting to swim. Right away we noticed it was super cold so my husband let the front desk know and we thought they were turning the heat up or fixing it. They did not. My 1 year old didn’t even get to play in the water because of how cold it was. It felt as though we were outside. We went down next morning and same thing no change in being warmer to be able to swim. We had to stay in the room our whole stay and that was not in our plans sadly. So don’t expect to come and swim in the winter time without being cold.
