There are significant inconsistencies in the quality of the stay reported by guests.
I was denied my stay at this location due to my guide dog. My husband husband and I were looking for a pet friendly hotel and they advertise as such. We have to small pet dogs and my guide dog because I am legally blind. They would not exempt my working guide dog from their pet policy and denied my stay. I will be reporting it as a violation of ADA laws.
We came in late at night and the next morning we realized our room door never locked so we no longer felt safe with our belongings. We felt worried when we went down for breakfast because we had a dog with us that we had to leave in the room. The drain was clogged so water would pool up an inch or two while we took showers and it just felt really gross. We travel a lot and stay at a lot of la Quinta hotels since they are pet friendly, but this was the worst experience for La Quinta that we’ve had so far. We let the front desk know about our experience.
Stayed here for a weekend and they didn’t change our towels once. We had to ask for towels at the desk because there was literally only two hand towels in the room to begin with. They actually took the towels out of the room the next day and didn’t replace them or make the bed. You can also hear everything outside of your room including someone walking on the floor above you as well as everything going on in the hallway. Do not recommend this hotel. I’ve stayed at multiple La Quintas and this was the worst one.
The hotel was very clean. Bed was comfy. Lots of pillows and nice bedding. Bathroom was pretty spotless. The staff were wonderful! Always so kind and considerate. Smiling with interactions. Staff would talk to you like they knew you. We were very pleasantly happy with our stay.
No complaints! Everything was perfect, the swimming pool we didn't get to enjoy due coming in late and leaving early yet it was right across from our room which looked nice. They also have a small workout room . Breakfast was great with many options for everyone. I will definitely stay again if I am in the area.
stayed here the other nite. Moe was awesome. We got in super late. He got us checked in asap. very attentive, made sure we were comfortable and told us if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask. that he was there until 7 if we needed him. room was clean. roomy.
Location is off Brice Rd and I70. There is a traffic light at the intersection to enter property, which is very helpful with the amount of road construction in the area. The hotel was clean. There is a lounge (no bar) and an exerquise equipment room. Service was great. They were helpful and provided extra towels when asked. The room amenities were good with fridge, microwave, and TV. Ample outlets on night stands with standard plugs and USB. Bathroom was comfortably spacious enough for two people. Beds were not the most comfortable. Continental breakfast is available. (Rm 112, Double Queen Size beds)
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Our stay at La Quinta Columbus West felt like a survival challenge rather than a hotel visit. The moment we walked into the room, we were greeted by what seemed like an entire colony of ants marching across the floor like they had booked the room before we did. It was honestly impressive how comfortable they were. Things only went downhill from there. Both of our rooms had toilets that quite literally exploded like they were auditioning for a plumbing horror movie. After that dramatic performance, they refused to flush at all, which made using the bathroom an adventure nobody asked for. On top of that, there were visible stains on the pillowcases that made us question whether the bedding had ever met a washing machine. To add to the luxury experience, the shower had absolutely no body wash, so if you planned on actually being clean during your stay, you were out of luck. The only redeeming part of this entire experience was the front desk employee, Muhammed. He was genuinely kind, helpful, and the only person who seemed to care that the place was falling apart around us. If the hotel had more staff like him, it might stand a chance. Overall, unless you enjoy insects, plumbing disasters, and mystery stains, I would strongly recommend staying literally anywhere else.
My husband and I came here to stay, and we found our room very clean, especially the bathroom. We found that the gentleman housekeeper, James, cleaned our room. We talked with him and found him to be very kind and helpful. The women housekeepers should take a que from him. They were very rude to us and him. One of them yelled at him, and she obviously didn't know we could hear her because as soon as she saw us she got quiet and walked away giving a dirty look. We later found out she was the housekeeping supervisor, Nilda. She really needs to learn to keep her place. It was quite obvious she was very bias towards him; which in our opinions, she should lose her job. She is too unprofessional for the position she has. She should be lifting people up, not tearing them down. After watching the display she put on I don't know if we will be back or not. One more thing, the parking lot and grounds were a disgrace. Trash everywhere and the outside trash cans were overflowing. Do they have anyone there who does the grounds on Wednesdays or are they off that day? M.N.
Enjoyed recent stay at this location. The hotel was clean, quiet and in convenient location to restaurants, stores, gas, etc. Daniel was very friendly and helpful, along with the rest of the staff. Would definitely stay here again! Didn't have time to try the breakfast.
