The Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus-Dublin generally receives positive feedback, particularly regarding friendly staff and a convenient location near the cosmetology testing site. However, recent reviews highlight recurring cleanliness issues, including soiled bedding and room maintenance problems, alongside concerns about room security and outdated amenities.
The hotel was in a good location, very close to the cosmetology testing site. The 2 bedroom 2 bath suite was very convenient traveling with our young adult daughter and felt safer than an adjoining room option. The staff was very kind and attentive, breakfast was great, and the hotel grounds are nice. The down side is the cleanliness. The wall beside my bedside table appears to have years of spill or overspray, the doors have splatter on them, the appliances are dated and damaged. Overall it was a fine stay but need to work on cleanliness at minimum.
I generally like the Homewood Suites product but this one leaves a bit to be desired. My first gripe is that the door to the room did not seal light from the Hallway on the bottom or sides of the door.. This is made worse by the installation of intense white spots in the soffit immediately above the door in the hallway. There was an extreme amount of play in the lock mechanism and I don't believe the door was as secure as necessary. Second issue was the backlighting of the thermostat being so bright and in the line of sight of the bed. I carry leectrical tape in my bag for this common issue. Lastly, The TV is at 90 degrees to the couch and the bed and has limited swivel. As a result, I had to rearrange furniture to actually watch television to avoid neck strain. I stay in the Columbus area frequently and have stayed here before but had forgotten the deficiencies of this property. I have recently been staying in the Easton area because the hotels are newer and a bit nicer over there. I don't know why the Dublin area hotels have not been kept up to brand standards or to the level frequent business travellers expect.
Everything was going good till right before checkout and they wouldn’t let the kids swim because we were going to be checking out soon then wonder why there were no kids in the pool my kids were so upset ?. It’s not really a younger kid friendly hotel. Also you can’t even bring a friend to swim with your kids only the people on your reservation so they were bored all weekend ?????
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Melissa at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, her warm hospitality, genuine smile, and exceptional professionalism truly stood out. She treats every guest with remarkable kindness and patience, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the highest standards of the hotel. Melissa’s attentive attitude, polite communication, and willingness to go the extra mile made my stay noticeably more pleasant. It is rare to meet someone who combines such grace, dedication, and customer-focused service. Thanks to her outstanding hospitality, I would gladly choose this hotel again in the future. I am truly grateful for the exceptional service she provided.
Great pet friendly place to stay, staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms are great, ours has a separate bedroom from the kitchen and living area with separate doors to bedroom and the bathroom. I think they have rooms with 2 bedrooms even and/or suites with spacious open area plans as well as others. Very clean, homey and comfortable. Has a basketball court and lots of space for kids to run around and play with balls available at front desk, there are grills outside that were really nice to use and a fire pit with plenty of seating to enjoy. Heated indoor pool and hot tub, free breakfast every morning is really good with lots of choices. Great gym with nice equipment like a peloton and free weights etc. laundry room with decent prices and a quick wash and dry. And I really like the common living area for visiting that has a beautiful double sided fireplace. Can use for playing games, watching tv, and just enjoying and having fun with others and getting kids out of the rooms. All of the staff from the front desk to cleaning staff to everyone else is very accommodating and helpful with absolutely anything you need. I really don’t have anything “bad” to say, it’s a great place to stay while visiting Dublin which is just a beautiful place! Make sure you go see the waterfalls near by too! We’ve had a great time all together.
We took a vacation road trip back to Ohio to see family and friends for first time in a few years. Picked this location to be away from the 270 traffic noise and it was very close by one of our family members we were there to see. Nice rooms, clean, decently maintained. Friendly staff. No complaints at all especially for the rates for this time of year and the amenities in the nice rooms. Nice job
The staff was wonderful and very helpful, great location made it easy to access the highway and get around Columbus. The problem was the cleanliness of the rooms. We had to switch rooms 3 times. The first rooms kitchen area wasn’t cleaned at all, the second room smelled like urine, it’s a pet friendly place so I’m guessing the previous guest had a pet in the room, the next room the same issue as the first, (I believe they had new cleaners learning while we were staying) and finally the room we ended up in. We still had a great time but and go back but I need to be able to book my room and see it first and be able to refund day of in case of the cleanliness and go somewhere else. All that moving rooms was a big inconvenience
My daughtee and I stayed there August 1. We stayed Friday and went to the Dublin Irish Festival. When we returned to our room, we had such a comfortable sleep. The bed was cozy and well maintained and clean room. The breakfast they served the next morning was good. We were impressed with the location. I stopped to talk to the management and the manager was so nice. Too many hotels provide a dingy and barely kept room for the price. This hotel however was a great value and very clean. We were happy.
For a holiday weekend, this hotel, was pleasantly quiet. Staff was wonderful; welcoming and helpful. I had called prior to our stay with a couple special requests, which they accommodated and they were so pleasant to talk with. Upon arrival front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. We used the spacious and comfortable lobby/dining area for a family dinner to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday. Pool was great. Rooms are clean and 2 BR suites with fully stocked kitchens are great for families. Nice variety for breakfast and quite abundant compared to other hotels I've stayed in. Highly recommend
Great hotel that I've stayed at numerous times. Always a great time staying here and this particular location is located in a quiet neighborhood which I found to be such a nice amenity as I love to go for walks when possible.
