Overall, the Four Points by Sheraton Columbus-Polaris receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the friendly staff and modern rooms, while others report significant issues with security, reservation problems, and poor service. Recent renovations have improved the appearance, but unresolved maintenance and occasional staff shortages persist, leading to inconsistent guest experiences.

Vehicles get broken into at night in this whole area and is well known. They look for guns to steal. Cops are slow to respond and take report. Seems like an organized smooth ran operation. More security is needed, more cameras. Not just signs saying not responsible. If it’s a known issue protecting your guests should be more of a priority. Friendly staff and clean rooms though.

Updating my previous review from February 2026 because the stay this weekend was a completely different experience. We decided to come back mainly because of Mariana and the kindness she showed us before, and I’m so glad we did. Mariana truly deserves a shoutout for her amazing customer service, professionalism, and for making us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. Employees like her really make a difference, and you can tell she genuinely cares about guests. During our previous visit in February, we had issues with switching rooms and some appliances not working, so I was honestly nervous about coming back. But this visit went much smoother, I heard they also fixed many of the issues previously mentioned in the reviews and the hotel team, including the General Manager, took the time to make things right and followed up with us, which I really appreciated. We will definitely come back again. Thank you.

I stayed at this hotel last week while in town for work and an expo, and I had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Marianna at the front desk was always available, friendly, and willing to help with any situation that came up. Krish, the bartender, was also wonderful. He was very accommodating and made excellent drinks. I also appreciated that the bar stayed open later on the weekend and offered a nice variety of evening snacks. What really stood out most was the staff. They made our stay comfortable, welcoming, and stress-free. We would definitely stay here again because of the great service and hospitality.

We had booked this hotel through Priceline back in December of 2025 for our April 2026 trip. We received our confirmation the day before our trip. When we went to check in we were told Priceline had been notified 4 days prior and our reservation had been cancelled. When showing the confirmation email, Krish told us to take it up with Priceline and that the hotel can cancel any reservations based on their contract with Priceline. Krish told us he didn't know why all other Priceline customers were aware and why we were the only ones who didn't know please note another couple in front of us was having the exact same issue. I called Priceline and they stated our reservation was still active and they had not received notice from the hotel and that they would call and speak to the front desk to resolve the issue as it was likely a misunderstanding. I walked back into the hotel thinking this would be resolved to hear the other receptionist pick up the phone, she then called Krish over who was very irritated he had to leave the empty bar to assist. Krish's story suddenly changes as he speaks to Priceline stating that many have been canceled and not notified that booked with Priceline but the hotel had a plumbing issue effecting all of these rooms booked with Priceline. 23 separate reservations affected. Krish was rude, unsympathetic, unhelpful, unprofessional, and arrogant. What an awful feeling to not have a place to stay out of town-we had planned for this trip months in advance. The hotel had not reached out to us to notify us or Priceline. I honestly would have been okay and just delt with it but the way Krish treated us was terrible. There was no reason to treat us poorly, and no sense in arguing with someone who is not willing to help (Krish). Another couple in front of us was experiencing the same situation as us- equally upset and overwhelmed with what to do out of town when you thought you had a place to stay. It's very odd an amazing singer was in town for the night and we had paid $136/ night for the room- suddenly hotel room prices sky rocketed in the area for the weekend in surrounding hotels to $500 plus a night. Seems very odd that the rooms that were cancelled were the 23 reservations (information provided by Krish) in rooms from Priceline - these 23 rooms according to Krish also were the rooms that had plumbing issues which caused the cancellations. Coincidence .....maybe. Would 100% avoid this hotel. Yikes on customer service. I didn't expect the hotel to provide a room necessarily but I also didn't expect to be treated terrible. It is such a nice area so close to everything - pick a different hotel and just save yourself the stress of having no place to stay hours from home, almost missing your dinner reservations, and having the hotel kick you when you are down. Save yourself the headache and find a more accommodating hotel and be careful when booking on third party sites. What could have been a great time was cut very short.

This is one of the worst Marriott properties I have stayed at. The staff, when you could actually find them, were generally unpleasant, unhelpful, and appeared uninterested in assisting guests. During my three-night stay, I only saw three staff members in total, and I cannot recall a single instance where anyone greeted guests with a smile. The most frustrating part of the experience was breakfast. I have no issue with breakfast not being included; however, if it is offered as a paid option, there should at least be staff available to take orders. On my first morning, I sat for 10–15 minutes waiting for someone to assist me. At one point, a man came out of the kitchen, collected payment from another table, looked directly at me, and then returned to the kitchen without acknowledging me. No one ever came back to take my order. Because I was short on time, I ended up leaving and getting breakfast at a nearby gas station—which, in hindsight, was probably the better choice. The second morning was not much better. I sat at the bar in the breakfast area and watched the attendant walk into the kitchen and not return. Eventually, the front desk clerk, who could see me sitting there, came over to take my order. That experience was also unusual—he didn’t write anything down and ended up making three separate trips to the kitchen because items were missed. As for the food itself, it was unfortunately just as disappointing as the service. I have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, and it often seems like food service is treated as an afterthought. In this case, the quality was particularly poor. For perspective, I served in the military for five years, so I am not unfamiliar with less-than-great food—but this experience was notably bad. I travel frequently and stay at Marriott properties regularly. As a Platinum Elite member, I feel comfortable saying that this was one of the poorest Marriott experiences I have had. There are several other Marriott properties in this area where I have stayed before, and I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. Unfortunately, this location simply did not meet the standards I have come to expect from Marriott.

100% recommend.Great location. The rooms have no carpet and the cleanness is also a plus in this property, but the staff is the 5+ stars worth it. Marianna received us with smile enthusiasm and professionalism and made a great first impression. The bartender that also served us the dinner was another 5+ star. Food and drinks were delicious and we had a great stay. Marianna and Crish worked in great harmony making us feel not just another number to the hotel. Will definetly come back on our next trip to Columbus.

If a negative rating were possible, this stay would earn it. I travel frequently for work and choose where I stay. This property failed at the most basic level: guest security and management accountability. During my overnight stay, my truck (and several other vehicles) were broken into in the parking lot while a security guard was present on site. I arrived around 11:00 PM and was out by 6:00 AM, only to wake up to the damage and theft. Equally concerning is the complete lack of response from management. I have left multiple messages for the General Manager and have received no reply. Vehicle break-ins can happen anywhere, but ignoring guests afterward is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

This hotel is very beautiful. The Russian lady at the front desk was very friendly. The employees said it was recently renovated. I ate dinner and had a couple drinks at the bar. The food was very good and the cocktails were perfect. I’ll definitely be staying here every time I’m in the area

I always choose to stay at this hotel primarily because of the exceptional service provided by Mariana at the front desk. She is extremely professional, courteous, and genuinely attentive. From the very first interaction, she demonstrates remarkable hospitality and a true commitment to guest satisfaction. Mariana is punctual, organized, and consistently willing to go above and beyond to resolve any situation. No matter the request or concern, she handles everything with efficiency, patience, and the utmost respect. Her calm demeanor and problem-solving skills create a sense of confidence and comfort that truly enhances the overall experience. I sincerely return to this hotel because of her. Mariana is an outstanding professional and a true asset to the property in Columbus. Her dedication and excellence in service make a lasting impression and set a high standard for hospitality. I truly hope that on my future stays, I can continue to count on Mariana’s support, as she genuinely makes all the difference.

The receptionist, Miriam (I believe that was her name), was very kind and sweet we checked in on Friday 02/13/2026 I am only giving a 3 stars because of her professionalism and helpful attitude. Unfortunately, my overall experience at this hotel was awful. I was first given Room 228, but the television did not work. Since we hadn’t unpacked yet, we informed the front desk and we were moved to Room 303. However, the lighting in that room barely worked. The room felt very dark, and I could only charge my phone using an outlet in the restroom. It was definitely electrical wrong in that room. The floors were also messy and did not appear to have been mopped in weeks. Also no one to attend us when wanting to buy alcohol over the weekend. Also those elevators are sketchy, I got stuck in the elevator once, the doors wouldn’t open. Additionally, there was only one mirror in the room, located in the restroom. It was inconvenient having to wait for my partner to finish in the bathroom just to check my outfit. Many hotels provide an additional mirror in the main room, which would have been helpful. I’m not sure if the hotel is older and that’s why certain things weren’t functioning properly, but overall, the experience was disappointing.
