The Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Airport offers convenient access to the airport, but recent reviews reveal significant issues including property damage, security concerns (vehicle break-ins), and maintenance deficiencies. While staff are generally courteous, cleanliness and consistent service are major areas of concern, particularly with frequent reports of bed bugs and property-wide neglect.
My window and multiple other people had their windows smashed in. Be careful parking in their lot. Rooms were nice though. Bed was decently comfortable, nice tv in the bedroom and the living room. I was only there one night so I didn’t use the kitchenette, but it looks nice.
There was only one person working who could check people in so it took a while, there were also a lot if issues with the keys not working and there were 5 people standing around waiting for new keys. Room was clean but a little worn. Very convenient for early flights, you can park your car and get a quick shuttle ride to the airport.
Stayed here at the start of our 2 week vacation to take advantage of their park-n-fly rate. The room was ok, staff was nice, but after being warned by the front desk clerk to not park on the side of the building, I should have just taken my vehicle to one of the airport parking lot companies. Instead, I took the front desk’s advice and moved my vehicle to the front lot, and went on my vacation. When I arrived back at the airport, I called for my pickup, and after 2 additional calls and a 45 minute wait outside in 12 temperature, the van finally arrived. When we got back to the hotel, I started my vehicle remotely, and borrowed a broom from the hotel to start digging my suv out of the snow. When I got to the far side of my suv, I noticed that while we were gone, someone smashed my driver’s side window to see if I had left anything in my armrest. They threw everything out of my armrest all over the front seat, but as near as I can tell, they didn’t take anything(including the $100 cash that was my emergency fund). Glass everywhere, snow(from the 16” snowstorm) all over my front seat. I found a local glass repairman who repaired it for me the next day, and he told me that there were around 15 vehicles that night that had their windows smashed at this hotel. One plus was that the shuttle van driver helped me dig my SUV out of the snow, and brought out a shop vac to pick up as much glass as he could before I left. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but stay here at your own risk if you are leaving a vehicle in their parking lot! It might not be there in the morning.
Just okay. I wouldnt come back. Rooms are run down, with paint peeling. Reports pf bed bugs. Multiple people with bites. Frequent Marriott traveler, this hotel is just blah and not up to Marriott standards. Requests placed in app weren't completed. Addtionally cars broken into in parking lot which is apparently a frequent occurrence.
Had two stanky rooms in a row, but the front desk staff was so extraordinarily courteous getting me into room number three that they clawed back star number four. Other than some odor issues, a relatively clean hotel. Everything worked, etc... Shoutout to Raja and to a very nice lady from corporate for being so kind and helping me get into a satisfactory room way past my bedtime. 50 points to both of you.
onvenient location right next to the airport, which made travel easy. Room was standard for a Courtyard, and the lobby area was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My two issues were the AC/heater and housekeeping. The AC/heater unit was extremely loud. Every time it kicked on during the night, it jolted me awake. I also found hair on one of the bath towels, which shouldn’t happen. Overall fine for a quick stay, but the noise from the AC/heater made it hard to sleep.
Elena (hope i spelled that right) was so sweet and helpful. The room was incredibly small but we didn't spend much time in it so so biggie. Good location. Only recommendations is to serve breakfast earlier especially for an airport hotel where lots of people are up and out before 7 a.m
The service and location is nice. But the hotel needs major repair and it has bed bugs. Major water damage to the ceiling on the 3rd floor, the hallways smell like mildew and again, there are definitely bed bugs. I notified the front desk upon check out
The rooms are excellent! Especially if you like to sleep in. I woke up at 8 am and thought it was still nighttime. The bed was real comfy too. I only stayed for a night, but would definitely visit again. 5 stars!!!
Avoid this place. While the location is convenient to the airport, the property isn’t being maintained. The first room I was assigned had a broke thermostat and must have been 90 degrees. The second room I was assigned had a busted closet door - the door broke off the hinges and was just standing in the room. In neither case was I offered an upgrade for my status. The fitness facility is nice and large, but there are no sanitizing wipes (both containers empty). The equipment is crusted with old sweat - nobody has cleaned in there in a while. And to top it off, the bistro is closed due to “new management.” There is nowhere to eat at this property. And no mention of this on the Marriott website. The outside of the property is a mess… the parking lot is crumbling, the landscaping isn’t maintained, and there is broken window glass in the parking lot… which explains the security guard that rolls around at night.
