The Hampton Inn Columbus-West generally receives positive feedback, particularly regarding cleanliness and friendly staff, especially mentioning ‘Maya’ at the front desk. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns including a bed bug infestation, rude customer service, and issues with room temperature and water pressure, casting a shadow over the overall experience.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was definitely more firm than I like. Lots of storage. AC was fairly noisy through the night and the room was a bit stuffy despite the AC being on low. Stayed one night only. The breakfast was pretty good.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. The check-in process was smooth, front desk staff was amazing — very kind, professional, and welcoming.they made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything clearly. Customer service like this makes a big difference. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Everything was "ok"-- the lady checking us in last night was not very nice and not what we're used to when staying at a Hampton (Miya). It appeared as if she had a chip on her shoulder and that we were an inconvenience. That being said, our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was standard. The lack of customer service from one employee is what will stop us from staying here in the future.

We stayed at this hotel on January 10–11, 2026 and experienced a bed bug infestation that the hotel has still failed to take responsibility for. We woke up just after midnight in room 215 with multiple bites on our arms, chest, neck, ears, and face. After discovering the bites, we contacted the front desk and were told that management was not on duty until 9:00 a.m. and that the only option available at that time was to move us to another room. We were moved to room 230, and within minutes of placing our bags on the bench, we saw a live bed bug crawling on our luggage. We also observed brown spotting on the sheets, which is a common sign of bed bug activity, indicating that this room was also affected. The following morning, after 9:00 a.m., I contacted the hotel and was told management would call me back. I also reached out to corporate and was informed that management would follow up within three business days. Neither has happened. There has been no call, no email, no apology, and no accountability. The impact of this has gone far beyond a bad night’s sleep. We are still dealing with painful, inflamed bites, have had to discard luggage to avoid bringing the infestation home, and were forced to wash and dry all belongings in a public laundromat before the event we traveled for. This was stressful, costly, and completely avoidable. What is most disturbing is not just the presence of bed bugs, but the lack of response and responsibility from management afterward. Guests deserve basic safety, transparency, and follow-up when something this serious occurs. I strongly advise others to avoid this property. If you experience a serious issue here, do not expect communication, concern, or resolution from management.

Have stayed here previously, but this will be our last stay at this property, Front desk staff extremely rude. For location purposes, there are numerous other hotels within walking distance of this one that we have and will gladly patronize again!!! Called two days prior to our arrival, in the evening to change 1 of our 2 rooms from a king to 2 queens! Was told by a female who answered the phone, stated this could not be done with a rather rude tone! Sorry we called to bother you during your work shift!! At check in; I believe the same female checked us in and her rudeness was still evident and totally unacceptable!!! No acknowledgement, not welcoming and rather made us feel like we were bothering her!!! I dud do keyless entry but my phone battery died, so we needed to obtain keys! When we walked to the counter; it was evident she did not want to wait on us and we must have bothered her, Again!! When we told her we needed keys, They only thing she said was in a very rude tone, “What’s your name”. Knowing we would have to show us; I had it out and showed it to her! After handing us our keys, we asked where our room was located! Her response “I can’t tell you” - she them turned her back and walked away. A front desk employee can’t tell us if our room was located to the left or right if the building?! ?????????? Everyone in my party was dumb founded witnessing this! I know good help these days is hard to find; but she definitely lacks customer service and is a bad impression/representation of Hilton property front desk customer service!

I stopped by the Hampton Inn Columbus West to ask for some info, and Maya was so helpful and kind. She took her time to answer my questions and even pointed me toward some good places to eat nearby. Really great customer service!

Stayed for a quick weekend getaway. Rooms are as expected; same goes for the bathroom. Building is a little dated, but still gets the job done. If you like a cold hotel room, the AC only goes down to 66F. Breakfast was basic - waffles, egg, meat, potatoes, cereal - but delicious. Would stay again.

petty on my part, but I would not stay here again. I travel a lot for work...like 80+ nights/year just at Hilton properties. We checked in here on Friday (10/31) for a soccer tournament and Maya was our super friendly attendant (heavy sarcasm). I asked for 3 room keys, and Maya very bluntly told me "you get two keys" and slid them out to me. Rooms were clean if you're used to a Holiday Inn Express. Apparently there was also a cross country meet this weekend and kids were running up and down the halls, beating on doors at 3am. Most of our team stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and from the pictures I saw, it looked amazing. I hate Marriott, but Maya may have convinced me to give them another shot.

The room was clean and tidy; however the filter needed to be change and the room smelled damp. We ended up putting dryer sheets in the vent to make it smell better but overall great stay.
