Staybridge Suites Columbus Polaris generally receives positive feedback, highlighted by clean suites, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, particularly during social events. However, recurring concerns include issues with cleanliness, particularly regarding dust and dirty bathrooms, as well as problems with room temperature control and noise levels, especially around the pool area. Several guests have reported encountering pests and issues with billing discrepancies.
An excellent hotel, great service, and everything was very clean. But the best part was the staff—they showed me that they are truly a family. The social events on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays were incredible. Thank you, Jenny and Laurent—you are fantastic!
I’m not one to complain especially when it comes to certain things but I had to say this because this hotel will make u think it is nice but once u are settled in it’s a different story. One of the worst hotels I’ve attended I stayed for 2 nights and out of the whole time I stayed the internet continued to go in and out and no resolution was given once the front desk was told that kind of killed the whole vibe of enjoying the stay also this hotel is definitely “kid friendly” there’s nothing wrong with that but people need to control there tyrant disobedient children I had to switched to a different room because parents allowed there children or party that was with the children stop run and bail throughout the hallway and overtop inside of rooms consistently. Overall I appreciate the switch of the room due to the constant noise and the pool was okay I did not get my moneys worth I would not come back nor would I recommend especially if your coming to get a peace of mind.
I loved all the warning signs of vehicle break-ins from the parking lot to your hotel room. But nothing compared to lying down on a sunken mattress and breathing in the masked aroma of weed/cigs/pet urine. You’re better off sleeping in the decommissioned display cop car at the entrance of the parking lot.
Shamell at the front desk was super great! She carefully listened to all my requests and accommodated them. She was really professional and kind as well. Thanks to her, my stay was truly enjoyable!
They need to clean better. We wrote notes in the layer of dust on the furniture. Walls and floors dirty. Shower dirty.Half the electrical outlets didn't work. Safety issue with unmovable metal spike sticking out of bed frame of one queen bed. Someone WILL be hurt from this. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Blankets thin as sheets, had to ask for 3 additional blankets. Yall put signs up all over stating you value cleanliness. This is a lie. I value cleanliness and the room was shameful
I been here like 3 times. This place is really nice. The suites are very clean. Parking was available. The lobby is nice. Great location and area. Good people here. Overall very positive experience and I recommend highly.
This hotel is really beautiful. However, I hate that humans have turned hotels upside down. I used to love staying at hotels, but now people make everywhere a ghetto experience thanks to cigarettes and marijuana filling the air from the parking lots to the elevators, hallways, and rooms. I don't know if guests smoked inside but the smell was so thick you'd assume they were smoking in the rooms. Thankfully, I was accommodated to be moved. I'm very allergic to smoke and yes, smoke is a real allergen. The rooms are cold unless you're moving around. The temperature supposedly goes to 78 degrees. That's where I had it set, but my room didn't go over 72 degrees and the fan kept blowing cold air. I turned the unit off several times because there was no option to run heat without the fan, but it would come back on automatically anyway. Not certain if that's normal or not, but we just bundled up because I didn't want to complain again to the staff about another room. Hotels don't invest in smart TVs or Roku devices apparently, so don't book here if you don't watch basic cable. Otherwise, don't forget to bring your own Firestick/Roku. I was very annoyed by this. I had no issues with the staff, cleanliness, accommodation due to my room smelling like smoke, or anything outside of what's listed above. The front desk workers were all very nice, patient, and well mannered women. I encountered 3 and the 1st had the patience of a saint. A guest was really giving her a time and she handled things very elegantly. She was also patient with me regarding my hiccup at check in that has nothing to do with the hotel. For those who like the quieter areas like myself, I would request the 4th floor and to be on the end if you can. The pool area is very nice, but if you can't take a lot of noise, you need noise cancelling, airplane style ear buds with you. The room catches and elevates every single peep made. They really need to expand the pool area because it's too small and hollow in my opinion. Even my daughter didn't want to swim long because the noise was overwhelming. That's not to say anything bad about the kids having a good time. All of the excitement is totally expected. I'm only speaking of the area. The pool room would really be overwhelming for you if you're there at a time where the pool is full of guests and you're not used to loud environments. I was very happy when my child was ready to go because I was getting a headache in there. I would visit again and request to be on the 4th floor out of the way. Now, if the air regulation is the same in another room as the one I was in, I wouldn't stay again because I don't like being cold at all. I would leave out simply rethink staying there now that I'm thinking about it again. There's no way to tell until you've already swiped your card. The bathroom was freezing, the room was cold. I didn't like that. I don't plan to ever sleep in my robe and coat in a hotel because I can't get warm again.
You get all of the amenities, the clean room, a comfortable room, but truly what stood out to me in the three weeks that I was here was how management treated staff. I saw all of the staff, especially the housekeeping staff keep it relatively jovial approach and attitudes. While this may not mean much to some, remember if the staff is treated with respect, just imagine how you will be treated. A huge shout out to Lai who puts together wonderful breakfast spreads during the week and gets your day going with her authentic approach towards all that she does.
Our stay at this hotel was absolutely exceptional! The cleanliness was immediately noticeable, and the fantastic atmosphere made for a truly relaxing experience. The outdoor firepit was a huge hit, creating a perfect ambiance for evening relaxation. Our room was generously sized and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The spacious common area was ideal for entertainment; we enjoyed watching golf and football, and even hosted a pizza party for the kids. The breakfast met our expectations, providing a satisfactory start to each day. However, the standout feature was the staff's friendliness and attentiveness, who were always ready to assist with a smile. We highly recommend this hotel!
A good hotel. The breakfast was lovely, so were the rooms. Small complaint is that they never told us the pools are closed on Mondays, which ruined our plans a little
