The Hilton Garden Inn Columbus Airport presents a mixed experience, with positive feedback on customer service and a relatively quiet location near the airport. However, recent reviews consistently highlight significant property maintenance issues, including outdated facilities, operational problems, and a lack of consistent quality across various departments. While some guests appreciate the convenience and occasional helpful staff, many express disappointment with the overall condition and value.
Stayed one night before flying out in the morning. Sue at the front desk was so helpful and put our frozen food in the freezer overnight for us Addis and Micheal at the bar and grill were very friendly to talk to and great service. We will visit Hilton Garden Inn again.
Could use some updates. The fitness center and laundry are too small for a hotel this size. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Some airport noise, but not enough to really disturb you. Restaurant was very good.
Yikes. Very tired worn property and the front desk service is lacking. The property is rough. Everything feels like it has been patched or is still broken. The elevators were acting up. There’s a good and dad one, as a housekeeping member explained. Room doors have to be jimmied to get in because handles don’t work and doors don’t close properly because that aren’t plumb. Floors are old and mismatched. Tile is damaged and caulking is needs attention. Inside the room, where flooring had been added, it was too thick and the bathroom door wouldn’t open. Wall paint was marred and soiled or patched with a mismatched color or finish. Room chairs were soiled and decor was very dated. Tv would suddenly turn itself off. Message light on the phone flashes and there’s no way to turn it off. Staff explained it was just in the overall system. Parking lot had very limited open spots and was not in good shape. Main sidewalks were cleared but driveway and parking lot needed attention after snows a few days before my arrival. It was very slick and dangerous. The desk staff was not concerned but sat busy with their noses in their phones. Housekeeping was very kind and explained some of the workarounds for the many issues.
Outdated rooms that are in disrepair. Hole in bathroom door only half filled with cheap filler. Door to room sticks only unlocks and opens some of the time. Outer door jam looks like someone tried to pry the door open at some point. Arrived at 9:30pm hoping for a late dinner. Kitchen was open but out of half the items. Just typically expect more from a Hilton Garden Inn.
The accommodations were fine. Very close to airport if traveling. I work for Hilton, I was disappointed by the lack of customer service more than anything. Sometimes maybe because they can see you are a team member, the staff is more relaxed. Regardless I paid for the room and would like to be checked in properly. Tell me where things are in your property. Offer me the water, you know just the common courtesy you would give any other guest. No complaints about the property itself.
Grant gave great customer service helping me to solve my parking concerns. I was able to park my Tacoma up front close to the lobby. This was a great relief as I was going to be gone 7-8 days. I had a heating issue that was fixed in minutes. Outstanding customer service from all employees I had contact with!!!
Of all the Hilton garden in I've stayed at this was the worst experience. The hotel was clean and nice. The pillows are terrible. Way to soft. Even the "firm" one. It was like sleeping with no pillow. The mini fridge kept cycling on and off and sounded like a stream constantly flowing water. Breakfast was 2/10 and way too expensive. Next time in Columbus I'm staying somewhere else.
My room on the first floor felt clean and almost everything was in good condition. The beds were very comfortable and I’m a bit of the princess and the pea, so yay! Sloppy caulk around the bathtub but no big deal. Great water pressure for the shower and could get hot quickly, which I appreciated. I ordered dinner but decided to eat in my room. The restaurant area needs a good cleaning. The benches/seats were grimy. The tables didn’t get bused, but the food was decent. Restaurant stuff was pleasant enough. My room faced away from the airport terminal. I only heard one plane early in the morning. It was quiet except for some louder guests getting in late on a Saturday night. The exercise equipment was in good condition. They had a few towels and sanitizing wipes. There was a water cooler but no cups. There was a sign that they provided disposable ear buds for free to use in the gym, but I didn’t see any. Would definitely stay and eat here again. Thank you for the pleasant and relaxing stay.
Nice and clean room. That’s about it. Booked via a hotels.com. Says airport shuttle is included. Got to the hotel and now they are saying we have to have a special package to leave the car here. Won’t let me pay for it either. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re wanting to leave your car and catch a shuttle.
Building is in fair shape and the rooms are clean. I will tell you that the elevators do not work and that the breakfast is expensive and not included in the price of the room. Seriously leave the hotel and eat elsewhere. Staff is completely unhelpful and rude. Also the gym does not have any free weights at all. Lastly this is in the middle of the airport so the planes taking off and landing are very much heard from your room all hours of the day and night.
