The Embassy Suites - Columbus consistently receives positive feedback, particularly praising its friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, and convenient location. While some reviewers mention minor issues like ventilation in certain rooms and a sulfur smell in the AC, the overall experience is considered positive, especially due to the complimentary breakfast and evening manager’s reception.
I had to check out a day earlier than planned today and assumed my travel agency had made the update. As I was leaving early with suitcase in hand, the Hilton staff member asked me which room I was checking out of and I told her. As I got to my car, I saw her running toward me telling me my checkout was tomorrow. I told her about the mix up and she took care of it. Without her added effort and care, I would have been charged for a room and it would have been on me. On top of that, all of the staff at this hotel were delightful. Will stay again if I have the chance! Thank you again to the wonderful staff member who helped me.
Great hotel, the staff is amazing and it's in a pretty good location for getting around the city. My only gripe is the ventilation in the double rooms. The air doesn't circulate well in the lounging area but thankfully it isn't terrible in the bedroom area but still could be improved
I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and this is a first. The hotel pool closes daily, including weekends from 1030am - 1200. Anyone with children know that's the prime time to go. After breakfast and before we have to start the day. Whatever excuse they have to give, do better. Other hotels don't shut their pools down in the middle of the day to clean, etc. Other than that, the hotel is nice. Very good breakfast. Nice staff. Fix the pool situation then it would be a 5 star.
My husband and I stayed here for a few days. Great location just outside the city. 20-30 minutes to the science center, the gardens, the zoo and casino. Lots to do! The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the breakfast was amazing. Lots of options and the best omelet station! We’ll be back for sure!
I was kind of alarmed by recent reviews on this hotel but I figured I would go since I love ES and stay at them whenever possible. Based on some reviews, you’d think this hotel was the worst and I’m here to say it was definitely not the worst! In fact, the staff here is what makes this place so special. Yes, my room was nice and the amenities were great, but all front desk staff were so kind and helpful, and the bartenders and cooks were super sweet as well! I needed nothing my whole trip and the only feedback I have is that the AC gives off a sulfur like smell, so maybe look into that. Not a deal breaker for me since I always travel with room spray :) I would totally stay again, the staff made it like a home away from home for me. Plus the breakfast was delicious each day I was there, the omelette bar is obviously the highlight !!!
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was truly a terrible experience. Staff does not care about concerns brought to their attention. - Boiler was broken so no running water on 1 of the days we stayed there. No heads up via email though per the Manager it was a planned repair where they posted on the premises paper annoucements. How do those of us arriving the same day the repair is made find out ahead of time? - Message from manager- this was an announced repair. Message from front desk - this was an emergency repair which is why we didn't announce it... Who's lying here? - Running water was shut down before the announced time. Yep, brushing teeth ended abruptly - Digital key did not work. Called the front desk to ask if they could help. First rude response was 'what do you want us to do about it?' - After boiler fix, had to take a cold shower and the hot water did not come until 15 mins later - Brought these up to the Manager to see if they'd be willing to issue a partial refund for the inconvenience since we had to rent a coworking space since we couldn't even go to the bathroom in our hotel for hours that day. He said in summary everything adhered to company policy so no. - I do not recommend staying here or dealing with the staff who clearly don't care.
Breakfast was great, room was nice and spacious, staff friendly. However, in my opinion, they have a serious car break in problem that s not being handled adequately. it appears 7 break-ins last night, allegedly 13 on Tuesday night. "Security" on site did not secure. When traveling in the future, I will pack some window plastic and tape. Good Luck!! *they didn't charge for parking, lol
The hotels and rooms are beautiful. They have a wonderful bar/dining area, the rooms make me feel like I'm in a mini apartment--I love it all. Two things that bothered me, which is why I'm not giving 5 stars: 1. There are no trash bags in the trashcans in the room, which is poor foresight on their part because now the cleaners will have to use their hands to get trash out which is gross. 2. I paid nearly $6 for a parking space. Now tell me why Embassy Suites is just only now putting cameras in the parking lot--and they're only doing it because cars full of hooligans have been coming into the parking lot and breaking into cars. My friend's car was a victim of them last night. They hit a few cars actually. Apparently, this has been going on long enough that the police have a task force focused on catching these kids. Boo to Embassy Suites for only just starting to get a camera system in--it should have been done a long time ago! The place is beautiful, but I would avoid this place until they have the cameras up or the police have caught all the kids.
The front desk staff was very helpful. We are here for business and they were very knowledgeable about things in the area. The rooms were a very good size and very affordable. Hot breakfast is served with a omelet station. I would definitely stay here again
We just completed a reunion of veterans of the Vietnam War here at the hotel. All of our attendees loved the hotel it's location and its amenities. It was close to everything. From the front desk staff (Ashley, Christine and Andrew. ) to the catering staff ( Zack, and Rose) they all went above and beyond normal service. Melissa the bar manager was great to all of us even though age has limited the amount we can drink. Lacey and Miranda were a great help in getting everything put together for the reunion. Kudos to the breakfast staff the two folks managing the griddle prepared one off omelets that were filling and combined with all the other breakfast options it made a complete morning meal. The staff that kept the dining area clean helped out quickly when needed for an emergency. And speaking of emergency as folks were leaving Sunday morning the entire area around the hotel lost power. Some of us were stuck for less than a half hour in the elevators until the fire department could get us out Zack and Ashley were running around taking care of little problems and impressed all involved with their and the rest of the staff's desire to keep the guests happy and safe.
