I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. Not once did I get any room service. I requested towels and they were brought to my room and left in the hallway on the floor in front of my door. When the towels were brought there was the sign on the handle stating maid service needed. Staff seen that and continued to ignore our room. We were left with soggy towels hanging up and unmade beds when coming back to our room. On top of that, after changing the AC temperature, it seemed to remain the same. The beds were considerably uncomfortable and it felt like you are sleeping on bricks. The sheets and comforters are rough and not even close to soft and enjoyable. The pillows are also very stiff and hard to bear. I do not recommend. Please do not come here.

Convenient to be so close to the Statehouse. But only 1/4 elevators worked. Rooms would not cool below 75 degrees. Conference Center escalators were broken. No valet. Staff were friendly but couldn’t do much with the resources they had. I had to get my keycard reprogrammed every time I left the room.

Terrible experience. We stayed here for a volleyball tournament. The hotel was NOT prepared for the volume of guests. Only one working elevator so the wait to get up/down was often 10 minutes or more. No fridge or microwave in room. I had to try 6 different floors before I found a working ice machine. The coffee maker in the room did not work with the coffee pods that were provided. The coffee in the lobby was either cold or full of coffee grounds.

I stayed at The Plaza Hotel in Columbus for three nights while in town for a volleyball tournament, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. There was no heat in the room, and the fan ran continuously even when turned off. On top of that, there was no hot water, which made basic comfort nearly impossible after long tournament days. There was also no daily housekeeping service during the stay. We also had ongoing issues with our key cards repeatedly stopping working, which meant extra trips to the front desk just to access our room. The hotel itself is very outdated. The elevators were extremely slow, there were no refrigerators in the rooms, and only one ice machine was working, which required traveling several floors to access. For a multi-day stay, these inconveniences really added up. The hotel advertises a bar/restaurant, yet there was no menu available, making it unclear what was actually offered. Despite being in town for a large event, there was also no real “deal” or value reflected in the room price given the lack of amenities and comfort. Overall, this stay did not meet basic expectations for comfort, service, or value. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to travelers — especially those attending events who need reliable accommodations.

Came here for a baseball coaches convention and somehow this place was recommended by the convention center. Parking is a joke and even though they have a valet option, he was no where to be found and apparently didn't come in all day. Then we checked in, the room was not prepped at all (photos included). The garbage cans were cleared and knocked over but the bedding was thrown about and the bathroom was pretty gross. Went down and got another room, that one was ready but came with a wonderful 78 degree setting. We turned the AC on and left to go to the hotel bar. Only good thing about this place was the heavy pour by the bartender. Finally got back to the hotel to 80 degrees and we were told the "mechanic had gone home for the night, turned off the AC power, and that if was only pumping out hot air if you had the thermostat on". Tried to fall asleep and the bed was the creakiest I've ever been on. Shower had no hot water either. Myself and the three coworkers left in the morning and went to a Hampton. Oh, forgot about the stink bug I found in the bedding too. Place should be demolished.

1st room wasn't clean (ready) and the phone didn't work. 2nd room heat stayed at 65-67 degrees and couldn't shut the fan off. COLD Also the TV would turn on and as soon as you select a channel and hit Ok/Select the TV would turn off. Restaurant...... not much on the menu. Come time to pay the bill, credit card only??? Couldn't make change. No Cash???

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but I'm trying to join forces with the community to push for improvement. It's not a hell hole. The employees were AMAZING. The location was great! However, the location is desolate. Columbus is definitely the type of city where the central city is truly a business district with no late night convenience or grocery stores. But it's true that this place hasn't done any maintenance in a decade. Paint peeling. Caulk falling apart. Shower issues. Weird thermostat. The hallway smelled like smoke. There's also no mini fridge for my left overs for some reason! It's not a horrible experience by any measure. But, my colleagues stayed at the Drury which was so so so much nicer, gave them free breakfast AND dinner, and even 3 free alcoholic drinks each night. That would have been a much better experience.

The location is great, we were in easy walking distance from Ohio Theater, the Statehouse, and several restaurants and venues. The outside and lobby of hotel are very nice, though room was okay, more like a Days Inn in quality than a downtown fancy hotel. The bathroom door didn’t fit the frame of the doorway and actually became lodged shut, took us several minutes of pushing and pulling to get it back open. Water was extremely hot, fine for adults but could be an issue for small children. Hotel staff were polite and helpful.

Where are you Marriott?! This place needs HELP. 3 of the 4 elevators were not operating when i checked in and that makes for a long wait in a 22 story hotel. When I arrived to my room the bathroom faucet was running, and could not be turned off. I tried to call downstairs about the issue and the phones did not work. The "down phone system" was confirmed by the front desk when I returned down there to request a new room. The bar/restaurant was said to be open daily, but it was closed the first night I was there as I was told "the bartender did not show up" for the shift. The next night it was open, but the girl from the Starbucks downstairs was being trained and didn't know how to mix drinks. Half of the food menu was unavailable because they "didn't have it." My TV stopped working on night two. A friend staying in a different room had no A/C and a broken refrigerator. My room key cards stopped working the second day and had to be reprogrammed. The hotel staff was pleasant in all interactions, but this hotel is woefully understaffed and barely being cared for. This is probably the most I've experienced wrong in a hotel stay in my life.

The valet was abysmal, the two times we used to take/return the car. Lengthy 20+ min waits, the workers were tapping the bills in their hands to signal a request for a tip from other cars. Our room was quite humid, and upon requesting a change were told no. Our plane got in late, and we were told that we needed to call at 4pm (for a room already paid for??) to let them know to make sure our room wasn’t given away. It was very quiet in an unfortunate way, not populated.
