The Holiday Inn Express Columbus-Polaris Parkway generally receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its convenient location near shopping and dining, recent renovations, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews have raised concerns regarding ongoing construction, inconsistent pool temperatures, and issues with responsiveness from hotel management, particularly during unexpected events like fire alarm activations.
Great location, right off I-71 and close to the Polaris Mall, Rock City Church, restaurants, Ikia, movies, golfing ?? and many other stores. Hotel is renovated, rooms are big and clean. One thing it be good to know when booking, is that the hotel is under renovation. In the room , the refrigerator is very loud.
We LOVED our stay here even despite the construction. We had kids along and everyone had an amazing time. They were very accommodating and extremely friendly. The pool was fun and the rooms were clean and updated. Thank you for a lovely stay !
Was a beautifully renovated hotel room with exceptional service by Del, who went above and beyond to make our stay a complete success for my family! Would definitely recommend!!
Great place to stay. It's nice and clean. The rooms have been remodled recently and are very cozy. I think a few of the finising touches are still being done, such as adding a table with chairs and a larger trash can like most hotel rooms have. The pool and lazy river was relaxing. It just didn't seem as warm as most indoor pools. But once we got used to the temperature it wasn't too bad. There was a shower to rinse off the chlorine that did have warm water. I was suprised that our room didn't have a Bible. I really hope they haven't decided to get rid of them.
Pool was fun and clean and as expected. No hot tub as advertised so that was disappointing. I appreciated that there was security patrolling the parking lot to watch our vehicles! Hotel was clean, staff was busy but kind. Breakfast was honestly terrible besides the pancake maker, juice was watered down food was put out “fresh” but hard as a hockey puck lol but my kids still got their bellies full (from pancakes) and we all had a good time. We will be back.
Holiday Inn Polaris is a very nice place to stay. I really cannot say anything negative! The pricing, staff, room, location, amenities were all excellent. My husband and I will definitely stay there again when we visit family in the area!
Hotel is currently under remodel working from 8am - 8pm. I work 3rd shift and I was able to sleep like a baby! Place is clean, good breakfast selections and staff was polite. I would definitely come here again!
Del gave us the ultimate customer service upon checking in! He was very prompt, friendly and provided service with a warm heart felt smile! Definitely recommend this hotel due to not only the cleaniness, they have Dove products and their indoor pool is a 10/10 and the location is very accommodating to getting around the area!! Thank you again Del!
My twin brother and I had the extremely fortunate pleasure to stay at this establishment!! This hotel is spectacular!! Rooms are clean and comfortable!! Great place to stay after a long drive!! The front desk attendants were so accommodating, cordial and absolutely welcoming and hilarious!! If you’re lucky enough to check in with April, Kitara and Todd!! They love their jobs and it shows in their costumer service!! 5 Stars!!
Update: It's been one month since my issue. I've talked to many different customer service associates. Sadly, my points still haven't been added to my account. Very disappoited. Stayed here last year and would have given it 4 stars. But it is lower due to our recent experience the night of March 8, 2025. The room was spacious and nice. The breakfast food and pool were acceptable. The lack of management help/response from Holiday Inn is the disappointing part. The fire alarm was pulled by a guest(according to front desk staff) around 9pm. It then continued to go off every 45-60 minutes the whole night. We checked out at 830am and it was still occurring hourly. My issue is 1. Why there wasn't a plan for this incident. A maintenance person or someone should have been called. 2. The way the situation was handled by management/guest services. I will say, all the hourly employees handled the situation with respect. I'm sure it wasn't easy for them. When I called the next day to talk to Amber, she offered me 15,000 points for the inconvenience. She told me that would cover a one night stay at that hotel most other Holiday Inns. I hung up then checked my app. The cheapest point rate for that particular hotel on a Saturday(when we stayed) is 30,000 a night. I called back and she then said I would receive 30,000 which does cover one night, not the upgraded room that I had paid for. I waited a few days then contacted Holiday Inn via the mobile app as my points still weren't updated. I spoke to a very friendly representative and they assured me my issues would be resolved within 48 hours. 48 hours later still nothing. I text again to another representative and they apologized and assured me my points would be added within 7-10 business days. I have a few more days, but as of now still no points. I understand things happen. But a faulty fire alarm going off hourly for ten plus hours is absolutely ridiculous to me especially for $230+ a night. We wont be returning to this specific location. After my accrued points are gone, we will be looking into another hotel brand.
